What a Great Birthday

What a wonderful birthday I had today. I awoke to the realization that I’m now 5 and that I’m three years older than Carson, instead of 2.

I also had a special surprise at school today. Our Mystery Reader today was….my Dad!!! Yup, he came to my class to be the Mystery Reader. I was so excited. He read to the class two books: A Fish out of Water and The Giving Tree. He was such a hit and he may have been the best Mystery Reader ever to have read at my school – since the school’s inception (ok, my Dad told me to write that last part).

I received so many phone calls, cards, emails, and presents today. So many people care for me and that is so exciting. The most intriguing gift I received was one from Erin and Rich Nordt. They got me a Playstation PS3, or so I thought. I was a little reserved, but Carson was *super* excited. He kept talking about playing games. However, to Carson’s disappointment and to my pleasant surprise, the PS3 box was a front for the coolest gift…a Pet Vet Barbie + some Little Pet Shop characters. Thank you Rich and Erin. (You may want to reach out to Carson. He is a bit disappointed.). Thanks to everyone else that say all of the awesome toys and cards. You are so thoughtful.

For dinner tonight, I requested my favorite (ok, it ties for favorite as Burritos come in neck and neck on the pecking order) meal, Tilapia. Mommy makes the best Tilapia and my appetite demonstrated my approval; I went back for seconds and shouted (several times): I Love Tilapia!

Until next time, thanks for all of the birthday wishes. It is time for me to get to bed.

Happy Birthday….

….to ME!

I awoke a much bigger girl this morning. I ran around the house screaming at the top of my lungs “I’m 5, I’m 5, I’m 5. I’m no longer 4 anymore. I have to use a whole hand now (as I held up 5 fingers).”

Can you believe it? I am such a big girl now. Soon I will be in kindergarten too.

Even better, I got to kick off my birthday celebration a whole day in advance. My Mom and I went to lunch a the American Girl store and we got to take home a new friend, Julie. Julie is actually my sister now and I am so excited.

I also spent one-on-one time with my Daddy. We went out for dinner and had my favorite meal in the whole wide world: Burritos! We also went to Bruster’s for some ice cream. In case you are curious, I got a strawberry ice cream cone and it was delicious.

I hope you all have a great and wonderful day, but good luck trying to top the best day ever: my birthday! And, as always, we shall never forget how blessed I am to be hear with you.

Potty Training

It’s official, I am a big boy now. My Mommy and Daddy are so impressed with me. It only took me a few hours to figure out how to use the potty and I haven’t stopped yet. I have been begging my Mommy to teach me how to use the potty but for some reason she refused, something about Brooke??? Well, I’m not Brooke, I’m Carson and I wanted my chance. So, on a snow/ice day when we were stuck inside all day, Mommy finally gave in. She gave me big boy underwear and said “Go for it, kiddo”. I had one accident and thought, “uh oh, that’s not right”. And from that moment on, I have put all my pee in the potty. That’s right, only one tiny mistake for me. I even came in my Mom’s room at 11:30 last night so she could take me to the potty, I won’t even pee in my sleep, I’m that good. My teachers at school were so impressed with me too. Since most of those teachers had Brooke when she was my age, they assumed us Credendino kids were a lost cause…I proved them wrong. So no more of that baby stuff for me, it’s big boy things from now on.

Happy Winter!

Carson

Walt Disney World

My Daddy finally agreed to let us go to Disney World with my cousins and my MeeMaw. Boy, is that an awesome trip. We got to go to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Some of my favorite things were the Tea Cups, meeting Aerial, Nemo ride, Test Track, Tower of Terror. But my most favorite ride of all was the Star Tours ride at Hollywood Studios. I rode that several times and my favorite time was riding with Hannah. I’m so glad Hannah and I got to do Disney together again. I can’t wait to go back.

Carson wasn’t big enough for the thrill rides but he still had fun. Some of his favorites were the Race Cars (he drove), Tea Cups, and Buzz Lightyear. He even got to meet Buzz, which was pretty cool. Here are some pics of the week:

Christmas Fun!

Wow! We sure had a busy and exciting Christmas in 2009. Daddy had a lot of extra vacation time, so we spent alot of time with us this holiday. As a cool surprise, Daddy took us to North Carolina to ride the famous Polar Express train (from the book and movie). I was so excited. We all wore our pajamas on the train ride. They served us hot chocolate and candy, just like in the movie. Once we made it to the North Pole, Santa got on the train and said hi to every little boy and girl on the train. I was over joyed.

Here’s the family in our PJ’s:

The next day, we got to go swimming!! Yes, that’s right, my Daddy found us a heated pool to swim. We were the only people there and we had a blast. I love swimming and can’t wait for the summer.

Once we got back from our trip, it was time for Christmas. My cousins came in town and spent the night with us while we waited for Santa to deliver all the presents. I love having my cousin Hannah spend the night so I was in hog heaven…presents and Hannah equals perfection. Christmas morning was exciting. I got a brand new blue bike and a doll house. It was fantastic. Carson got a new bike and a cool dinosaur named Spike. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a more joyful Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Wow, what a busy few days, huh? There is so much to update you on, but I will try to keep it quick. First, my holiday weekend started with a bang as we celebrated Thanksgiving. This past Friday (Aunt Kelly had to work Thursday, so we celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday) we had my Cousin, Hannah, over for Thanksgiving dinner. She is the coolest, best, most awesome cousin in the world! Ok, that’s it for now. Speak with you soon.

Oh…wait, wait, wait. My Mommy and Daddy said I should share more information about our holiday weekend. I’m so laser focused on my cousin Hannah that sharing more completely slipped my mind. Where was I? Thats, right, Hannah. So, my Cousin Hannah came over on Friday to spend the whole day with me and Little Man Carson. Hannah had in tow Aunt Kelly, Uncle Shane, and Cousins Lawton and Cameron. Uncle Chris, Mima, and Great Grandma joined us for dinner as well. The cousins played all day in the jumpy and playroom, and made a complete mess. I knew I was doing a good job of making a mess by the look on my Mom’s face; she is so funny.

Thanksgiving Cousins

(Thanksgiving Cousins)

When it came time to eat we got to jump into some of the best food ever! My Daddy deep-fried a turkey, as he always does on Thanksgiving, and Aunt Kelly, Uncle Shane, and Mommy made some amazing side dishes. I got to sit at the kids table and chow down with my super duper Cousin Hannah (oh…and the other kids). My Daddy tried to sit at the kids table with us since there was a TV close by and he wanted to watch the Alabama-Auburn game. Although he didn’t get to sit down with us (he got caught), he sure did come to check on us often. He must really care about us!

That night we had a slumber party with the cousins. I was so tired that I passed out once my head hit the pillow. However, don’t fret; we all still woke up at 6am to continue our tradition of early morning wake-up calls for Mommy and Daddy. They must really love it when we come in so early because they get so emotional and loud. They also keep saying “wait until you are 16 and want to sleep in late. Payback is a b!$ch!” whatever that means. Oh how they love those wake up calls.

The next morning Mima, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Shane, and Aunt Kelly decided to take us all out to breakfast. It was expected to be another fall football Saturday as the Credendinos looked forward to the Georgia-Georgia Tech game that evening. Carson, Mommy, and Daddy dressed in their traditional Saturday football attire (Georgia Bulldog Red & Black) and we set off for breakfast. During breakfast I noticed someone walk in and sit at the table right next to ours. I turned to Daddy and said “hey, that is Matthew Stafford, the first pick in the 2009 draft and ex-Georgia QB.” (Ok, I didn’t say that, my Daddy did, but you get the point.) It was Matthew Stafford and he was out to eat breakfast with his friends. My Daddy, Mommy, and Carson approached him and stirred up a conversation (the place was fairly empty and nobody else recognized him). Here is a picture (bad cellphone picture at that) of Stafford (oh, yeah, my Daddy and Carson are in this picture as well).

Matthew Stafford, Carson, and Dad

(Matthew Stafford, Carson, and Dad)

After we left my Dad said he regretted not asking Stafford for a check for a million bucks. He said that he would have put it to good use. Oh well, Dad, missed opportunities! (BTW – Daddy now thinks he is BFF with Stafford now. Poor, poor, Daddy.)

Speaking of Stafford and Georgia, Saturday ended on a very high note as the Georgia Bulldogs, behind Caleb King and Washuan Ealy, rushed for 339 yards and beat up on the little Yellow Jackets. Mommy and Daddy were so happy.

On to Sunday…

After Church on Sunday, Mommy and Daddy had a special surprise for us; we were going to see Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. When we arrived at his fancy little place, Carson ran right up to him and would not stop giving him high-fives and inspecting his beard. I, on the other hand, was a bit more timid. I wouldn’t speak with him. My Daddy asked me what was wrong and I said I was afraid. He then asked why I was afraid because I have never been shy around Santa Claus in the past. I told Daddy that I was afraid to ask him for anything for Christmas because I may not get it. I went on to explain that I wasn’t being a very good girl that morning and I didn’t want to be denied by Santa Claus. After some nudging by the parents, I finally gave in and let Santa in on my Christmas list. I told him that I want an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle! Oh, wrong story. I mean I told him that I wanted a Polly Pocket Christmas doll. Pretty cool, huh?

Santa

(Before we went in for the official pictures)

Well, that is it for now. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your friends and family. I had a great time and there is so much to be thankful for this holiday season. I could get nothing for Christmas and still be the happiest and blessed little girl on the face of the earth (you know that is just a figure of speech, right? I better get that Polly Pocket doll, or watch out, Santa!)

A1A, Beach Front Avenue!

The Credendino family made it’s annual trip to Jacksonville for the Georgia-Florida football game, or as most people call: The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Knowing we (the Dawgs) were going to get slaughtered yet again, we had to sprinkle some good with the bad. We made sure we got to see Aunt Darcy and Uncle Art during our trip. They live a short drive from Jacksonville, right on the coast; boy are we glad we made the trip. They are some cool cats and they also gave us a place to stay. I’ll get into the details of the trip at some other time, but for now, enjoy the video my Aunt Darcy put together (isn’t she talented!!):
